Integration of Constructionist Learning Theory in TalkMe: A Departure from Traditional Education Methods
TalkMe focuses on oral practice, aiming to help users speak confidently and more authentically.
TalkMe is an AI-driven language learning product based on AI LLM (AI Language Learning Model). Compared to traditional products, TalkMe boasts several core features:
- Enhanced Interactive Approach: Unlike second-generation methods, TalkMe employs a more open interactive learning style, primarily using natural language for interaction. It conducts oral practice through chatting.
- Timely Learning Feedback: Leveraging the advantages of first-generation traditional classrooms, TalkMe provides real-time feedback and corrective suggestions for each spoken practice. It not only identifies errors but also suggests better ways to express ideas.
- Highly Personalized Learning Experience: OpenAI's CEO, Sam Altman, highlighted the future value of large models in two key areas: healthcare and highly personalized learning support. In the case of TalkMe, it tailors exercises precisely to users' proficiency levels and delivers personalized responses and information within the complete context, guiding users toward achieving their learning goals.
- Inspiration and Guidance: Departing from knowledge delivery through an output-oriented approach, TalkMe stimulates thinking and inspires learners to go beyond mere content absorption. It guides users through different topics and tasks, fostering new knowledge construction. It encourages users to output their thoughts linguistically, constructing their own language models within their minds.
- Immersive Role-Play Across Different Topics: In various language learning modules, TalkMe features different personas. Users engage in role-playing to complete diverse topics and tasks, fulfilling learning objectives. Across six different languages (Simplified Chinese, English, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese), TalkMe offers over 500 topics, enabling users to select different scenarios and adopt various roles to tackle diverse challenges. This helps practice language expression and short phrases in various contexts.
We believe that products driven by AI core technologies can provide language learners with a new and enjoyable learning experience.
PS: TalkMe is currently globally recruiting volunteers with different native languages. If you resonate with our product and educational philosophy, please feel free to email us at support@talkme.ai. We look forward to hearing from you!
